We went to the preview, a little while ago, of Where the Wild Things Are.
It was on the IMAX screen at the Pacific Science center. We had drinks and appetizers before, and then watched the movie. If you have a sibling very close to your age, like I do, you may identify with the angsty feelings in the movie. Loving and hating and wanting the attention of your sibling.
They really captured the spirit of the thing, even if some of the quotes weren't exact. :)

Swamped!

We are swamped. Busy. Up to our eyeballs in party-planning and cleaning and work and . . . gosh!

Mural

Here are some of the pictures of before and afters from the workday at our school. The playground was pretty bleak before.

Seattle Works, UBS, some Brighton students/staff and some of my best friends cleaned up and beautified our school. The mural is the one I designed.

Mural

I've submitted a design to a public works committee for a mural in the covered playcourt at my school. It was accepted, and we drew out the design large scale (on the wall) yesterday. We paint on Saturday. I'll put up a picture when it's done.
